- Child custody and visitation. We will help you establish and implement custody and parenting time agreements that are in the best interests of your children while protecting your rights as parents. With extensive experience in custody matters, we understand the statutory elements that must be applied to determine the best interests of the child. We will strive to implement Shared Parenting Plans where appropriate, but if need be we will zealously protect your rights in trial. We will also make certain that the preferences of the child are considered, where appropriate.
- Child support. We will work with you to assure that the payment of or receipt of child support is appropriate and in compliance with Ohio law, including deviation from guideline support where appropriate. We will take any action necessary to seek deviation from the guidelines, if that is in your best interest.
- Requests for modification. If a significant change in circumstances has occurred that warrants modification of an existing custody, visitation, or child support Order we can help you request a modification in accordance with Ohio law.
We will also help you determine whether a grant of alimony/spousal support is warranted and, if so, how much should be paid and for how long. We will carefully review the factors that affect eligibility for alimony/spousal support, including the term of your marriage, the age of the parties, the respective earning capabilities of each party, and the lifestyle enjoyed during the term of the marriage.
